How We Use AI
AI-Assisted Content
Some of the devotional reflections, guided prayers, and audio experiences on Inbreathe are created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
We do not present AI-assisted content as human-written spiritual guidance, divine revelation, or a message from God.
When AI assists in creating content, it remains a tool used in service of Scripture. Inbreathe does not give AI spiritual authority or treat it as a person, pastor, prophet, or source of revelation.
Our Philosophy
At Inbreathe, Scripture comes first.
Artificial intelligence is simply a tool that helps generate thoughtful devotionals and guided prayers based on genuine passages of Scripture. It is never intended to replace God's Word, personal prayer, spiritual discernment, or the wisdom and fellowship of the Church.
Scripture is the authority. AI is the servant. Christ remains the focus.
Scripture Comes First
Every Inbreathe reading begins with a specific passage of Scripture from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB).
AI does not generate Bible passages from memory. The biblical text used by Inbreathe comes from the Berean Standard Bible and is provided as the source passage for the devotional and prayer.
AI is used to help explain, reflect on, and respond to Scripture. It does not write Scripture, rewrite Scripture, add to Scripture, or replace Scripture.
Inbreathe does not intentionally invent Bible verses or references, combine or alter verses while presenting them as quotations, or attribute words to the Bible that do not appear in the source passage.
Where Scripture and AI-assisted reflection differ, Scripture remains the final authority. AI-generated reflection is not Scripture and should never be treated as equivalent to it.

What AI Is Used For
Artificial intelligence assists us in creating content that encourages thoughtful engagement with Scripture.
This includes:
- Writing biblically grounded daily devotionals based on a specific passage of Scripture.
- Generating guided prayers that respond to the day's Scripture.
- Producing audio narration for devotionals and prayers.
- Helping make daily biblical reflection more accessible.
Every devotional and prayer is intended to point readers back to Scripture - not away from it.
What AI Is Not Used For
Inbreathe does not use artificial intelligence to:
- Create new revelation.
- Change, rewrite, or reinterpret Scripture and present it as God's Word.
- Add to or remove from God's Word.
- Invent Bible verses or references.
- Establish doctrine or settle theological questions with spiritual authority.
- Speak on behalf of God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit.
- Tell users what God is personally saying to them.
- Predict the future or provide prophetic messages.
- Replace pastors, churches, Christian community, or biblical teaching.
- Invent personal circumstances, experiences, relationships, beliefs, or other facts about users.
Scripture alone remains the foundation and final authority of every daily experience.
Our Commitment to Biblical Faithfulness
We take great care to ensure that every daily Inbreathe remains rooted in the Bible.
When generating devotionals and prayers, our guiding principles are to:
- Keep Scripture at the centre.
- Respect the historical and literary context of each passage.
- Preserve the original meaning of the text.
- Distinguish biblical Scripture from AI-assisted reflection.
- Encourage thoughtful reflection rather than speculation.
- Promote prayer that is consistent with biblical teaching.
- Avoid presenting uncertain interpretations as established biblical truth.
Where faithful Christians hold differing views on secondary theological matters, we seek to remain gracious and focused on the central truths of the Christian faith.
Grace and Truth
Inbreathe seeks to reflect both the grace and truth revealed in Scripture.
Our devotional content should not reduce the Christian life to encouragement without truth, nor present biblical truth without the grace, mercy, forgiveness, and hope found in Christ.
Where Scripture calls for repentance, Inbreathe should not avoid repentance. Where Scripture offers grace and hope, Inbreathe should not replace them with shame or condemnation.
AI-assisted content should encourage a faithful response to Scripture without manipulation, fear, shame, empty reassurance, or distortion of biblical teaching.
AI-Assisted Prayer
Inbreathe may use artificial intelligence to help construct guided prayers based on the day's Scripture.
These prayers are written for the user to pray.
Inbreathe does not claim that AI itself prays, has a relationship with God, receives spiritual guidance, or communicates with God on the user's behalf.
The purpose of a guided prayer is to help the user respond personally to God in light of Scripture.
We Don't Invent Your Story
Inbreathe does not claim to know personal circumstances that a user has not shared.
AI-assisted content should not invent or present as fact a user's experiences, relationships, family circumstances, personal history, church involvement, emotions, struggles, testimony, or personal beliefs.
Inbreathe does not use AI to pretend that it knows what a user is experiencing or what God is personally saying to them.
Devotional content is offered as a reflection on Scripture - not as a personalized revelation about the user's life.
Read Scripture for Yourself
We encourage every user to read the Bible directly.
Devotionals and prayers are designed to support your time in Scripture - not replace it.
Personal Bible reading, prayer, participation in a local church, and wise biblical teaching remain essential parts of the Christian life.
AI Does Not Replace Christian Community
Inbreathe is designed to support personal engagement with Scripture and prayer - not to replace Christian community or pastoral relationships.
AI cannot replace a local church, pastor, mature Christian mentor, theological study, or the relationships through which Christians encourage, challenge, serve, and care for one another.
When someone needs pastoral, theological, relational, or practical help beyond the scope of a devotional reflection, we encourage them to seek guidance from trusted Christian leaders and community.
Human Responsibility
Although AI assists in generating devotional content, responsibility for Inbreathe's mission and theological direction rests with Inbreathe.
We continually review and improve the way Inbreathe generates content so that it remains faithful to our mission of encouraging believers to engage deeply with God's Word.
AI-assisted content is never treated as infallible or as a substitute for Scripture, sound biblical teaching, or Christian discernment.
A Note About Imperfection
Artificial intelligence is a tool created by people and, like any tool, it is not perfect.
AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information, including errors in historical, cultural, theological, or interpretive matters.
While we strive to produce biblically faithful content, users should always measure every devotional and prayer against Scripture itself. We encourage you to read the biblical passage directly, consider its context, and not accept AI-assisted content simply because it sounds confident.

Every decision we make follows one guiding principle:

Inbreathe does not claim that AI can speak for God, receive revelation, replace Christian community, or know the personal circumstances of a user unless they have explicitly shared them.
